For the next few months – Lent to Pentecost – we will be sending out a ‘thought’ each week based on finding the joy in prayer, a series looking at prayer in different forms and how we can engage with payer as part of our personal journeys of discipleship.

Week 2 brought to us by Pioneer Minister Kirsty, looks at using social media and technology to aid us in our lives of prayer and discipleship.
Week 3 – Praying in the Stillness and the Silence
Week 3 looking at prayer in the stillness and silence from Reader David Kemp, particularly looking at contemplative prayer and ‘Soul Gym’, a workout for our spirituality.
Week 4 – Praying in the Outdoors and through Creation
Week 4 takes us on a journey through creation as Rosemary Bailey, part of Eco-Church, looks at prayer in the outdoors, walking through the beauty of God’s Creation.
Week 5 – Praying through Study and Bible Groups
Reader Ian Stocker looks at prayer through study and Bible groups including home groups, such as the online home group ‘Rule of Life’ in Week 5.
Week 6 – Praying with People and Interceding for Them
Week 6 Reader Kay Friend looks at praying with other people and interceding on their behalf in prayer.
Week 7 – Praying through Daily Prayer
Week 7 Howard shares with us praying through a rhythm of daily prayer, using the example of Mother Teresa’s daily prayer routine.
