Why not get into the festive spirit by decorating your homes and gardens for the Jubilee.
Why not mark the Jubilee with a Royal scarecrow. Join the scarecrow trail by snapping a picture of your Jubilee themed scarecrow and send into us by PMing the Love Congresbury Facebook page or email them to kirsty.bowles@newcretionchurches.org.uk There are so many ideas for Jubilee scarecrows – Corgis, Beefeaters, Will and Kate or Her Majesty herself. Have fun and be creative! You can also download our printable DIY bunting and other decorations to make your home into a Palace fit for a Queen!

Thursday 2nd June – Opening Ceremony
Opening celebrations on the Millennium Green culminating in the lighting of the beacon at 9.15pm and singing the specially commissioned Jubilee song at 9.45pm
Friday 3rd June – Activities
Join the Children and Youth Partnership for a full day of activities including making a Royal Scarecrow to be displayed at the Street Party.
This is available to all children. If you would like to bring along anything for the scarecrow i.e. old clothes and/or stuffing.
Saturday 4th June – Street Party, Music on the Paddock and Film Night
10.30am-12noon – Muddy Boot Church in the Prayer Garden.
3pm – Join us in Broad Street for a big Jubilee Street Party!
Join us for a traditional Street Party in Broad Street with friends and neighbours. Bring along some picnic food to share with your party and toast Her Majesty’s 70 year reign! Chairs and tables will be provided.
5pm – Live entertainment on the Paddock from local performers Ben Payne and band Junction20.
Come along to the Church Paddock for an early evening party with music for everyone from talented local performers.
7pm – Film night in St. Andrew’s Church in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee we will be showing ‘The Queen’s Corgi’, a family friendly film about Her Majesty’s favourite pet.
Bring some snacks and settle in for a cosy film night with a fun family film.
Sunday 5th June – Church Service, Pentecost Picnic and Cream Teas and ‘Last Night of the Proms’ with Congresbury Singers
10.30am – Join us in St. Andrew’s, Congresbury for a service celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee and the festival of Pentecost.
12.30pm – Then join us on the Paddock for a Pentecost Picnic, followed by Jubilee Cream Teas in the Refectory.
7pm – Join Congresbury Singers in St. Andrew’s, Congresbury as they sing some of their favourites along with some ‘Last Night of the Proms’ classics as we wind up the Jubilee weekend.
Get your flags ready to wave as we end the Jubilee in style!
