Upcoming services across New Creation
We will be conducting a service each Sunday at 10.30am, alternating between St. Andrew’s, Congresbury and St. Andrew’s, Banwell, which will be live-streamed to the New Creation Facebook page.
These services will consist of a combination of traditional worship, using Common Worship Liturgy and more traditional hymns and the ‘hybrid’ style of worship which we have developed over the course of Lockdown with a wider genre of music and liturgical styles.
On Sundays where there is a more ‘traditional’ style at the 10.30am service, we will be conducting a second service at 4pm – Explore@4 – all-age worship looking at faith through craft and informal discussion, a great way to explore faith for the first time or engage with faith in a new way.
We also have a simple said Communion Service in St. Andrew’s, Banwell on Tuesday morning and in St. Andrew’s, C ongresbury on a Wednesday morning at 9am. These services are not live-streamed.
Both of our churches also remain open during the week for personal, private prayer and reflection. All are welcome to visit our buildings.
Please join us online or in person, you are very welcome and we would love to see you.
If you are new to our services, why not watch some of our previous live-streams by clicking on the tabs above.
During the first Lockdown, we had been posting content online, both here and on our Facebook page, as well as producing downloadable material for worship at home and keeping in touch through conversations. This will continue. We have been greatly encouraged and humbled by the growing online faith community and their willingness to share with us. We will continue with “online Church” as an integrated aspect to our physical worship, and we will continue with Church@Home link groups, New Creation Pew News and the offer of Home Communion which is open and available to all.
To find out more about any of these or to discuss any concerns please send us a message or speak to one of the Wardens in either Church.
The Church of England has also provided a wide range of resources for continuing worship at home. These include online services and downloadable resources. More information can be found on their website here.
